The newest weight loss therapy is here!

LDN- Low Dose Naltrexone

Low Dose Naltrexone (commonly known as LDN) is a new therapy in the medical weight loss industry. Naltrexone is a prescription drug that was originally approved by the FDA to treat heroin and opioid addition at levels of 50mg and above. New studies show that Naltrexone used in very low doses (LDN) may help promote weight loss in the following ways.

  • Restores natural endorphin and dopamine levels in the body.

    • Dopamine and endorphins (such as serotonin) affect your mood, happiness and sense of well-being. When these are low, people feel depressed or even anxious, making it harder to make good choices with food and exercise.

  • Restores effective sleep.

    • Sleep deprivation is a major culprit of not losing fat mass. LDN uses the body's circadian rhythm to restore your bodies sleep cycle.

  • Improves Satiety (the feeling of being full or satisfied)

    • Feeling satisfied helps patients have more control over their appetite.

  • Decreases sugary cravings

    • By regulating dopamine levels in your body you will "stress eat" less because you are feeling happy.

  • Decreases inflammation

    • LDN is used commonly to treat inflammatory conditions like psoriasis and chronic pain. Inflammation leads to diabetes and heart disease, which both can cause or be caused by obesity.
